The Holy Hour is a very powerful Prayer Group because it is all done in the presence of the Lord - "The Blessed Sacrament". Every Tuesday evenings the members of the Holy Hour gather together immediately after the 7:00 p.m. holy mass and offer up their prayers of Reparation and Intercessory Prayers for all our brothers and sisters in the world in need of healing whether it be - physically, spiritually or emotionally.
The Holy Hour also prays for the Holy Catholic Church, Our Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI and all the clergy. The Holy Hour intercedes for Pro-Life issues and also for family struggles. Every week, the Intentions of Our Lady, The Blessed Virgin Mary are offered up to the Lord.
We bring to the Lord each other and all of our own personal intentions, and the intentions asked by Parishioners. The Holy Hour also prays for all governments world wide.
We also offer up to the Lord all the Holy Souls in Purgatory as we pray the "Chaplet of Divine Mercy". The second half of the Holy Hour is spent in silence before the Lord, allowing him to speak to us, and to minister to us. The hour ends with Benediction.
During the hour of Prayers and Adoration with our Lord, confessions are being offered by our Parish Priests.
Also, every year during the month of November, we offer Alms for Souls in Purgatory by choosing a charity or association and providing for their needs. Every Tuesday, the Holy Hour offers to Jesus all contributions and efforts made for this worthy cause as sacrifice for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory. This is a very important project for the Holy Hour.
We feel so blessed and fortunate to gather together every Tuesday evenings, before Our Lord and bring to Him all of our hopes, sorrows, fears, joys and all our illnesses and afflictions and in return we are touched and blessed by our Awesome and Beautiful God.
